Connect to a Print Server Printer
Add a network printer to a Printing Service on the server.
- Go to the Windows Server Manager.
- Click on Tools > Print Management.
- In the Print Management window, right-click on <printer name> (local) and select Add Printer...
This opens the Network Printer Installation wizard. - Follow the on-screen instructions:
Note: In each window of the Network Printer Installation Wizard, once you have completed the window click on Next to move to the next window.
Note: The steps shown below may vary slightly depending the server type and how the Wizard discovers the required printer.
- In the Printer Installation window, make sure that Add a TCP/IP or Web Services Printer by IP address or hostname is selected.
- In the Printer Address window, enter the printer IP address and Port Name. In Port Name enter the IP address as entered in Host Name or IP Address.
- In the Printer Driver window, make sure that Install a new driver is selected.
- In the Printer Installation window, select the printer manufacturer and which printer.
- In the Printer Name and Sharing Settings window, give the printer a name.
- Once the printer is found, click on Next > Finish.
The printer now shows in the Tools > Print Management window.
The Print Server network printer now show on the Printer Management page and is available to use, if required

If network printers are not available on the Printer Management page, go to the Windows Reviewer Client Service tool and connect to a Windows account which has the correct network privileges.
