Cybersecurity during Operation and Maintenance
As part of ongoing operation and maintenance, you should apply cybersecurity best practices appropriate to industrial environments.
This includes but is not limited to:
-
Maintaining secure default configurations.
-
Regularly reviewing user accounts and access rights.
-
Applying updates and security patches in a controlled manner.
-
Following documented change control procedures to minimize operational risk.
-
Following backup and restore processes as part of regular configuration management should be maintained throughout the device lifecycle.
-
A security and operational impact assessment, in line with site policies and risk management practices, should be completed before any changes to system configuration, connectivity or operating environment.
