Port Configuration Tool

The Port Configuration tool can be used to change the default ports on which the Data Reviewer listens for connections to and from your web browser.

Note:  The Port Configuration tool can be used to change the Data Reviewer configuration, make sure that access is limited to authorized users only.

Use the Port Configuration tool if you are unable to access the web interface because of incorrectly configured (or forgotten) ports, or a conflict with the port if another service is running on the Windows PC already using the default port, for example, if the Data Reviewer is installed on a Windows PC, which already has an existing service running on TCP/IP port 80.

The defaults are port 80 for HTTP connections, and port 443 for HTTPS connections.

Note:  To stop unauthorized access we recommend that access to the Port Configuration tool, is limited to authorized users only.

Note:  A message is shown during installation if port 80 is already in use on the Windows PC.

Note:  If required, the Port Configuration tool can be used, at any time, to reconfigure the server connection.
