Configuring Feature Options

Feature Options gives you control over several key device features. Each toggle bar lets you turn a featureon or off as needed.

Note - You can only access this function if you have the Can access Settings, Can edit Settings and Can access Feature Options permissions. If you need to access these functions and do not have permission, please contact your system administrator.

To configure features:

From the EPM Data User Interface screen, select Options - Settings and Users - Settings:
The Settings screen displays, select Feature Options which then displays on the right-hand side of the screen:

Complete as required:
- Auditor Full/ 21CFRPart11 - Off by default. Turn On to enable electronic signing, authorization and mandatory notes on all user actions based on permissions - Requires Signing, Requires Authorization or Requires Note to aid compliance with FDA 21CFRPart11 Food and Drug Administration Title 21 of the Code of Federal Regulations, Part 11 (FDA 21CFRPart11) - It is a US FDA regulation that defines the rules under which electronic records and electronic signatures are considered trustworthy, reliable, and equivalent to paper records and handwritten signatures in FDA-regulated environments (e.g. pharma, biotech, medical devices, food).. - Auditor Lite - Off by default. Turn On to enable the Audit Trail functionality, see Configuring Audit for further details.. When enabled records configuration and security changes, including who made them and updates the configuration/security revision. It also logs run-time operator actions as audit messages displayingthe time, user, source and action, providing traceability with minimal impact on day-to-day operation.
- Batch - On by default. Enables Batch functionality. When On, displays:
  - Batch menu items/ screens in navigation, including Batch Configuration and Batch Summary screens
  - Batch panel on the status bar
  - Batch trigger sources on the Jobs page
- Modbus TCP Server - On by default Enables the Modbus TCP server functionality, allowing external Modbus clients to read/write exposed data. See Configuring a Modbus Server for further details.
- SFTP Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) - A file transfer protocol built on SSH (Secure Shell). - On by default. Enables secure file transfer protocol (SFTP) and SFTP-based archiving, preferred over FTP for security and token-pricing reasons.
- FTP File Transfer Protocol (FTP) - A protocol for transferring files between a client and a server over a network. - On by default. Enables file transfer protocol (FTP) and FTP-based archiving; when Off, FTP access and FTP archive transfers are blocked.

Once complete, select Review pending changes screen to review updates to the configuration, and submit them. See Reviewing and Submitting Changes for details if required.

Note - Reviewing and submitting can be completed in bulk once you have completed all your additions and/or updates.
