Using the Timers Operator Panel
The operating panel on a channel screen displays the live value and has options to perform common actions appropriate to that channel. To view and utilize a timer operating panel:
- From the EPM Data User Interface screen, select Options
- Functions - Timers:

The Timers screen displays, select the timer required from the left-hand side to display the details including the operating panel on the right-hand side:
Tip - Remember you can use Sort or Filters to find a specific timer, see Sorting and Filtering Timers for details.Tip - Select Expand
to display the operator panel if required.The operator panel displays the following for the selected timer channel:

Live value - The live time elapsed since the timer started, this is capped to the Timer Duration specified:

Alarm Status - The current state of any alarms configured for this timer, for example, an elapsed timer alarm:

Start (Repeated Pulse Timer only) - Select to manually start the timer:
Start is overridden by Reset and Hold.
Note - You can only access this option if you have the Can start Timers permission. If you need to access this function and cannot, please contact your system administrator. -
Reset - Select to manually reset this timer to zero. The Reset Confirmation screen displays, select Reset
to continue:
Reset is overridden by Hold.
Note - You can only access this option if you have the Can reset Timers permission. If you need to access this function and cannot, please contact your system administrator. -
Hold - Select to hold the timer output at its current value:

- Timer is not held. -

- Timer is held.
Note - You can only access this option if you have the Can hold Timers permission. If you need to access this function and cannot, please contact your system administrator. -
