Deleting a Timer Channel

To delete a Timer channel:

Note - You can only access this function if you have the Can access Timer permissions. You can only add or update a timer if you have the Can configure permission. If you need to access these functions and do not have permission, please contact your system administrator.

 

Note - If a Timer is assigned to a Group, the output records in .uhh file format on the device. If you delete a Timer channel it is automatically removed from any associated recording Group. Historical data for that Timer is available on the device or via Data Reviewer, but recreating a timer with the same descriptor does not reinstate the link to the historical data.
  1. From the EPM Data User Interface screen, select Options - Functions - Timers:

  2. The Timers screen displays:

    From the list in the left-hand pane, locate the timer to delete.

    Tip - You can use Sort or Filters to find a specific timer, see Sorting and Filtering Timers for details.
  3. Select Options - Delete on the timer no longer required:

  4. If you are not already in Configuration lock, the Configuration lock screen displays:

    Enter a reason if required and then select Confirm . The system configuration is now locked pending the submission of your update and the Configuration Locked icon displays on the status bar.

    Note - Configuration lock does not affect the operation of the EPM device.

  5. The Delete Channel screen displays:

    Select either:

    • Cancel to return to the Timers screen, or

    • Delete to confirm.

  6. Once complete, select Review pending changes screen to review updates to the configuration, and submit them. See Reviewing and Submitting Changes for details if required.Reviewing and submitting can be completed in bulk once you have completed all your additions and/or updates.
