Managing Configuration Changes

Within EPM Data Management, the settings and functions that you define to match your application and operating needs are known as your Configuration.

The initial system configuration creates automatically as part of your initial power up, this provides an opportunity for you to define your settings and functions from the outset, see Initial Power Up for details.

Whether you are powering up for the first time, or making changes at a future date and time, the following applies:

• When you start to change anything that is part of your configuration, you are allocated the Configuration lock. Only one user can hold the Configuration lock at any one time. This helps prevent conflicts which may impact the recording of processes. You retain this lock until such times as you release it or submit your changes.

• No changes are made to the settings and functions across your system until they are reviewed and submitted.

  Tip - Once triggered, you retain the Configuration lock, even after you have logged out. We therefore strongly recommend submitting any changes before logging out of your device.

• If you have made a change or a series of changes, but you do not want to submit them, you can reverse them, either one at a time or in bulk.
