Regular EPM Maintenance Tasks

Note - Before starting to install or perform any maintenance on this device, ensure that you have read and complied with the Safety Notes, Warnings and Precautions for the EPM Solution.

Good Practice

Clean the EPM device touch screen and bezel with a soft, lint-free cloth and water.
To remove stubborn smudges or fingerprints, gently wipe the touch screen with a cloth moistened with a 70% isopropyl alcohol (IPA) solution.

Tip - Avoid using abrasive cloths, towels, paper towels or similar as these will damage your screen(s).

Periodic Maintenance Tasks

The following actions should be completed on a regular basis:

Note - The time frame for periodic maintenance depends on the degree of vibration the device is subjected to and the environmental conditions such as humidity, pollution, temperature, which can speed up screw corrosion and reduce seal compression.

If the display is exposed to vibration and/or high-pressure water cleaning, measure the gap around the seal regularly, for example quarterly, to ensure that the panel retains its waterproof properties. The gap should be between 0.5 mm and 1 mm.
Confirm the Functional Earth (FE) connection is secure by checking the torque and visually inspecting it for corrosion.
Ensure that the 24 Vdc connector is tightened to a torque of 0.5 to 0.6 Nm (0.37 to 0.44 lb-ft).
Check all connection screws regularly, especially when the device is used in a high-stress environment.
