Regular Maintenance Tasks for EPM-07 and EPM-15 Devices

Good Practice

• Cleaning the EPM device touch screen and bezel should be done with a dampened a soft, lint-free cloth and water. To clean off hard-to-remove smudges or fingerprints, you can use a cloth moistened with a 70% isopropyl alcohol (IPA) solution to gently wipe your device(s) touch screen.

  Note - Avoid using abrasive cloths, towels, paper towels or similar as these will damage your screen(s).

Periodic Maintenance Tasks

• Periodic maintenance depends on the degree of vibration the device is subjected to, environmental conditions (humidity, pollution, temperature) which can speed up the rusting process of the screws and reduce the seal compression.

  • Where your display is exposed to vibration and/ or high-pressure water cleaning, you should measure the gap around the seal on a regular basis, for example quarterly, to ensure the panel retains its waterproof properties. The gap should be between 0.5 mm and 1 mm.

  • Confirm the FE connection is good by checking torque and performing a visual inspection for corrosion on a regular basis.

  • Ensure the 24 Vdc connector is tightened to the 0.5 to 0.6 Nm (0.37 to 0.44 lb-ft) torque.

  • Periodic checking of all connection screws is a good practice, especially where your device is in a high stress environment.

Ad hoc Maintenance Tasks

• It is recommended to use screwdriver to loosen the panel fasteners.
