Removing I/O Modules

Note - You can only access this function if you have the Can access I/O Channels permission. If you need to access this function and do not have permission, please contact your system administrator.

When you remove an I/O module, any dependent configuration is updated to maintain data integrity and prevent broken references as explained below:

  • When you delete a module, the module and its associated channels are removed. If any of those channels are part of a group, they are removed from that group.

  • Only Alarms or Jobs attached exclusively to those channels are deleted. Shared Alarms or Jobs are retained.

  • If the module contains calibrated channels, a warning displays before deletion because calibration data may be affected.
